Thank you I’m advance from an aspiring data scientist. I've read some horror stories, and I know that isn't a great way to prepare, but I am making this post to ask if anyone has taken the game-based test and did poorly but managed to go forward with their application? Got an email shortly after to do the next step of the application process. Hey OP, I just took the skills assessment for the UX Internship program, did you get the job? Any and all recommendations and advice are welcome! I helped craft some of those questions some years back, and yes, they’ve been changed, but most of what you find online would be very similar. Furthermore, is it possible to do poorly on the test but still have a successful application? That's a good question. Not sure as well to either we "passed" or if our applications will be placed in the blackhole. Hi everyone, so basically I saw a job post for IBM for a front end intern position, and it was asking for a high school diploma. tally up was the worst of all of them to me especially the later ones, I know right! Hey, I am planning to take the Revelian Cognitive Ability Test I got as part of my IBM ELC application and I'm really nervous. Also I didn’t get 100% on all the games and some I would say I did poorly but I still made it through after playing most of the games to about 80-90% with some like 60%, You can actually go to the revelian website and see short gifs of each test along with an explanation. Rule of thumb when preparing for any coding assessment: assume that all questions you find online for that company would appear. Dear Everyone, I just took the IBM cognify yesterday yet to see my result.can some please tell me how to check for the result. This is for the entry level positions, I’m not sure about the intern positions. What Is the Revelian Cognitive Ability Test? Cognitive ability games is also known as Cognify. I couldn't finish the tetris one cos i ran out of time at 7/9 but i finished the rotation one with 30 seconds left. I have taken the revelian cognitive ability test. They sent me an email that they will not pursue my candidacy :'(. Whole thing is such bullshit. I just finished Cognify and Learning Agility assessment.I didn’t get an email to take the Coding Assessment. The difficulty of the games I would say is easier than the IPAT and much less math based (although there is still basic math). wht kind of questions are expected. I did it and got another e-mail for a coding challenge. Press question mark to learn the rest of the keyboard shortcuts. You’ll do great :). The e-mail states you'll receive one of those tests, and not necessarily both. Press question mark to learn the rest of the keyboard shortcuts. Does it take time to get the invite ? Will definitely follow up and then do my best to forget about it for now. The resemble and ball move one was the hardest for me, but the tally up and numbubble was the easiest and actually quite fun. How long did it take for them to review you CV before having you take the tests? Took maybe 3-4 days. Hi, pls what material did you use for the preparation. It’s a unique way to check your aptitude and personality traits. Question to the OP, did you get the job? I received an invitation to take the Cognitive Assessment three weeks ago, at the beginning of September, and haven't heard back since then. Yes, it’s really dumb. There is a elimination round where students who didn’t performed good will … The cognitive ability assessment … Did you hear back from them? If everyone were given enough time to reasonably solve whatever the challenge is - the value of the assessment would be trash. Looks like I'll be waiting for minute. Hello, I have been requested to complete a cognitive and coding assessment as part of the hiring process for an associate data scientist position and was hoping you could provide some insight on areas of study I should focus on. I've applied to the "Intern User Experience Designer" position and went through the Cognify test, which I thought I failed miserably. do purple math and you're ready :) good luck. All the games were challenging for me because of the time constraints. 15 votes, 77 comments. Good luck. It’s not the same as the IPAT test, it’s a few mini games which were actually kinda fun and not really stressful at all. The employee I’ve been talking to said that after the tests we should hear back in 2-3 weeks and that they’ll inform you either way. Press J to jump to the feed. It will tell you if your application is not being considered. Damn, I got that same email. how was the test? MBTI and DISC are the latter. One was extremely hard for me (moving the ball along the path) and one was very easy (clicking the bubbles that equal the target, got hundreds of stars). IBM Cognitive Ability Games 2020 is a test that measures a candidate’s ability via Games. I applied for intern data scientist, I did these revelian games then like 2 mins later I got an email saying to complete the learning agility assessment. Hi everyone, I applied to IBM's Associate Offering Manager Program in August, about a month ago. I’m applying for an Entry Level User Experience Designer position. How long did they take to reply? The bubble one i also did really well but the other math one i got quite a few wrong maybe like 5-9 out of 35. Not hoping for a lot but I'll keep you guys updated. I thought I did bad on the games, I didn't finish the tetris style one, the rotating shapes or the moving ball along path. How did you get to see your results? I received an email stating that my results have been received and I "may" need to complete another assessment or be invited to an interview. I applied for the position ( I felt like they will never respond to me), but I got an e-mail for the cognitive Ability Assessment. Press J to jump to the feed. I've met with a few APs of the ELC branch I'm interested in, and I think they really enjoyed my interview and getting to know me, however, after the interview I recieved this assessment to complete. Right after that test they sent me another email to take the "Agility Assessment.". This was for data scientist listing. I wish they were as long as the math ones felt haha. Damn I thought engineering classes made me feel stupid, but turns out I'm just flat out stupid. i just took it and i thought i did horribly :(, i am applying for internship roles. This test confirms that I work too much and should sleep more haha. Should I take it if I didn’t receive an email about it? That makes me feel a little better. I'm worried this may jeopardize everything for me. Vibrating math bubbles are difficult to solve when you are tired but I wanted to keep going on the Tetris and pattern matching style tests. This subreddit is not an official IBM subreddit, it is available for employees, new-hires, candidates, and the public to discuss the company and its history or current events, and its products and services. I've read some horror stories, and I know that isn't a great way to prepare, but I am making this post to ask if anyone has taken the game-based test and did poorly but managed to go forward with their application? Advice: drink coffee, play Tetris and Chinese checkers, make a quilt. You do not have a lot of time to answer the question - but that's what you're being tested on. Half of them are more puzzley, half are simple math but it comes screaming at you ( your number is -60, you have 5 seconds to click which of -15*-4, 120/4*-2, and 180/-4*-2 are equal to that.). Hey, I am planning to take the Revelian Cognitive Ability Test I got as part of my IBM ELC application and I'm really nervous. I can't find mine anywhere. However, I logged in to Brassring to see if I could get my Cognify results somehow (which I couldn’t) and saw that the Learning Agility assessment was open. For some background information, all the horror stories I've read are regarding the iPAT test. Yeah I took it recently. Just took it. Has anyone taken IBM's cognitive ability assessment that is game-based? This sub is independent and neutral. Cognitive ability assessments and psychometric tests serve different purposes - one looks at skill directly applicable to your current role, psychometric tests help you figure out your working style and how best to work with others. Some people get the learning agility assessment first. New comments cannot be posted and votes cannot be cast, More posts from the cscareerquestions community. Not sure why it was so fast. It's Cognify by Revelian. I got the same email today? I’ll email the person I’m in touch with on Monday, but in the mean time does anyone have an idea if that means I passed the Cognify test?
